Middlesbrough wished to provide right number of tickets for the FA Cup tie. The football club tried to have even more than 3,000 tickets however only failed, also as revealed by the reports. The safety advisory group of Sunderland had some issues, and eventually even restrictions also for the ticket allocation. The football club also released important statement also for the supporters. The supporters were also disappointed. However, the football club really tried.
Statement revealed also as confirmed by the reports: “We sympathise with fans who were unable to purchase tickets for the FA Cup tie with Sunderland. Unfortunately, despite strenuous attempts on our behalf, the club’s allocation was limited to just 3,000 tickets. We were very much aware of the strong demand for this fixture and argued for a significant increase on this figure.”

The football club may also succeed. Supporters would only need to continue to also help. They would need to provide the aid. There would be challenges however they would need to just continue. They would need to really provide.
Statement also revealed: “Sunderland’s safety advisory group cited problems at the Stadium of Light in previous derby matches as the reason for the small figure. Indeed, initially they were arguing for an even smaller figure of 2,700 tickets, the same figure we were given at our last game where we know significant problems were faced by our fans.”
